The Utah Libertarian Party deplores the proliferation of unconstitutional and illegal warrantless surveillance devices throughout Utah, and calls for their immediate and unconditional removal.
Further, every elected official and public safety officer in Utah pledges an oath to “support, obey, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” We call upon all those who have argued in favor of and/or otherwise facilitated the installation of these devices – including but not limited to mayors, city councilors, county commissioners, sheriffs, and high ranking police officials – to tender their immediate resignations.”
